Historique :	La présence de sculptures de Saint-Roch témoigne d’une volonté des paroissiens de se protéger de la peste, ici plus particulièrement en lien avec les épidémies du XVIIe siècle (1622, 1636) sur le territoire de l’actuelle Haute-Marne.

Précision_sur la representation :	La sculpture, placée sur un socle octogonal, figure un personnage masculin, saint Roch, accompagné à droite d’un chien et à gauche d’un ange. Saint Roch est figuré avec ses attributs de pèlerin : barbe, bourdon, chapeau. Le chien tient un pain dans la gueule, évoquant la légende du saint, de même que l’ange soigneur. L’homme est vêtu d’une robe de teinte gris sombre et recouverte d’un manteau rouge, qu’il soulève pour laisser apparaître les bubons de la peste.
