Historique :	27 mai 1763. Oeuvre du sculpteur Augustin Pajou (1730-1809). Aved est représenté avec réalisme trois ans avant sa mort : on remarque ses rides d'expression, l'aspect bienveillant et le négligé dit à la française avec sa chemise ouverte sur la poitrine. Cette oeuvre est exposée au Salon en 1763. Pajou a réalisé ce buste et celui d'Anne-Charlotte Gaultier de Loizerolles, l'épouse de Jacques Aved, séparément bien qu'ils fassent une paire et ils seront exposés à Paris (1897) et à New York (1898) (PV du CNMH du 27 novembre 2007).
