Historique :	Ce tableau aurait été installé dans le choeur de l'église en 1841, à l'emplacement de la baie d'axe, bouchée pour l'occasion. Il en aurait été enlevé en 1895 pour gagner son emplacement actuel et remplacé par un vitrail sur le même thème. Cette toile est attribuée à Nicolas Colombel (1646-1717) par l'auteur d'un ouvrage sur Saint-Dizier.
